It is done for ann, glpk, and qhull.  You can browse the repos at:

You have also probably noticed the push notifications sento to the
pkg-scicomp-commits mailing list.  The Subject header is tagged "[SCM]".
The notifications are generated by the post-receive hooks in
/srv/git.debian.org/git/pkg-scicomp/*.git/hooks/.  They just call the
script /home/groups/pkg-scicomp/bin/git-commit-notice.

Translating from SVN to Git was done with git-svn, although the procedure
is not completely automatic.  In some cases, it is necessary to manually
change some branches and rewrite the history.

Please, tell me if anything goes wrong with the setup.
