That should also work, but it is much easier just to add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list

deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/oli-borm/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main

and then get the debian source package from this source repository. You can also refer to these references:

But actually I assume, you know all these things.
