[Pkg-scicomp-devel] Bug#513415: suitesparse: please split libcolamd out into a separate package

Package: suitesparse
Version: 1:3.2.0-1

libcolamd should be split out since OpenOffice.org uses it to help
reduce install footprint. I maintain OOo in Ubuntu and have made this
change in Ubuntu already, but after talking to Rene, the Debian
OpenOffice.org maintainer, he would like to see this changed in Debian
as well.

I believe that a split-up patch should show up at the following URL
later today:

It should also be available here as a debdiff:

It is possible that my changes are not the optimal way to do it. If so
please feel free to implement it however you see fit and when Ubuntu
syncs to Debian again we will take your changes over our own.
