[Pkg-scicomp-devel] SLEPc

Hi,

I would really like to see SLEPc in testing but from what I can tell
it is not there yet because it has failed to build on some
architectures (armel and mips). One problem was that PETSC_ARCH was
hard-coded to linux-gnu in debian/rules. I have fixed this now by
using DEB_BUILD_GNU_SYSTEM instead (as in PETSc's debian/rules). I
also updated to the latest upstream release (patch level 7) and fixed
the lintian error and warnings [1]. It would be nice if someone could
upload this. Christophe?

BTW, what is the proper action to take for #550416 [2]?
