hmm, that hasn't been clear enough from my part.
Originally I had suggested in #453065 the following naming layout:
- getfem++ : source package
- libgetfem4 : main lib
- libgetfem-dbg : debugging package
- libgetfem-dev : dev-package
- libgmm-dev (or libgmm++-dev): gmm package
- python-getfem : python interface
after the release 4.0 of getfem I modified my naming conventions to:
- getfem : source package
- libgetfem4 : main lib
- libgetfem-dbg : debugging package
- libgetfem-dev : dev-package
- libgmm-dev : gmm package
- python-getfem : python interface
which is our current status.
What you suggest would be something like:
- getfem++ : source package
- libgetfem4 : main lib
- libgetfem-dbg : debugging package
- libgetfem++-dev : dev-package
- libgmm++-dev : gmm package
- python-getfem : python interface
Is that right?
Regarding the SO-NAME this should much with the name of the main lib
package "libgetfem4". Otherwise lintian arises a warning. That's why I
don't suggest to rename libgetfem4 to libgetfem4++.
