I think the packaging has to be redone from scratch. Should this be xmds2
(as the directory and binary are called) or does this fully replace xmds?
If the package name does not change, I would prefer it it the binary names
are not changed either. It would break any user scripts that rely on the
previous names.

The Makefile did not get me a working xmds2 executable, I am missing
xpdeint. This needs to get installed on the system properly, I haven't built
any python library packages yet. Maybe that is all that is needed, but I
will not have enough time for this the next month. Since we are in a freeze,
it will not make it into the next Debian version anyhow.

PS I am listed as the maintainer because the previous (main) maintainer
quit. I wouldn't mind if somebody else took over xmds, as I am not using
it.
