Hi,
since radcli is source compatible with freeradius-client we shouldn't
have to drop this functionality. I've created a small patch [1] that
adds support for linking against radcli and submitted an enhancement
request upstream [2]. In case that patch gets merged we can re-enable
the feature in Debian. If it isn't we can also consider adding the
patch locally…
I've re-opened the bug so we can track this. Feel free to close
again if you disagree.
