Yeah,  the Bay  needs all the support  it can get.  When I was a little  kid in  the fifties my cousin, Barbara, and I  rowed out  and caught two bushels of crabs  with chicken necks  and dip nets.   We  were too small to row on our own, so she took  one oar  and  I took the other  one.

The bay has gone  through a series of changes since then.    There was the  cleanup in the seventies, when it looked like  the  massive fish kills of the sixties  were being addressed.  Still, the  massive pressure on the entire estuary system, with  overdevelopment on  land, commercial crabbing, and pleasure boat  marinas  in every inlet has  changed  it  beyond recognition from what I  knew  as a child
