The changes look fine to me.  However, since you are not named as an
Uploader in debian/control, you should add
  * Team upload.
as the first line to debian/changelog [1].  As it is now, the upload
would be considered a non-maintainer upload for which different rules
apply (and thus lintian complains).

PS: I would personally talk to the the team member(s) who previously
    uploaded the package before doing something non time critical like
    packaging a new upstream version.  It might be that they are
    already working on an update themselves…
