The postinst file is still very unreadable for me and has a few
problems.  Unfortunately shell scripting is a both difficult and
error-prone process… :/

I've a suggestion for the script attached as patch.  Please apply
the patch and check if you like the changes, ask questions, try it out,
see if you're satisfied with the permissions,…
