Hello,

I have just released a new software development package called SILC
Runtime Toolkit (SRT in short). The purpose of the Runtime Toolkit is to
provide application programmer a full featured runtime library. The SRT
is similar to GTK+ Glib and Apache APR. All of these runtimes have much
in common and each of them provide some features that others don't.

The SRT is natively supported on all major platforms: Unix/Linux,
Microsoft Windows and Symbian OS.

The SRT provides application's main loop, threads, thread pool, thread
queues, locks, file utilities, file streams, socket streams, TCP and UDP
network routines, a finite state machine, lists, a hash table, UTF-8
routines and other string utilities, memory pool, and many many other
features.

The SRT is still in beta stage. Especially Windows and Symbian OS support
is still missing from this first beta release.

The reference manual is available at:

   http://silcnet.org/docs/runtime/

The SRT can be downloaded from:

   http://silcnet.org/download/srt/sources/
   ftp://silcnet.org/silc/srt/sources/

The web page for SRT doesn't exist yet. I haven't yet decided how we are
going to house this project and other upcoming projects on silcnet.org
that are not directly related to SILC protocol, but have just grown out of
as a by-product.

 	Pekka
