[Pkg-spca5xx-devel] spca5xx problem under Sarge

Hi,

I'm new to the webcam world.

My wife and I are using a Sarge with its generic kernel 2.6.8-2-386.
Due to its stability, she would like to keep it so.

But our new Logitech QuickCam Express Go refuses to work:

- I first downloaded and compiled successfully from the mxhaard.free.fr 
spca5xx-20060501.tar.gz tarball since this is announced "for kernels
below 2.6.11";
- now I read that I should patch the driver:
  - where can I download the patch not puted in a message on a ML but 
  as stand-alone file (who will work) ?
  - if the information read at http://blogs.igalia.com/eocanha/?p=58 is 
  correct, why can't I find any "fully fixed" version of spca5xx for a
  Sarge / kern 2.6.x (lower than .11) since 2006-05-01 ?
