In the end I’m opting for no ‘Breaks’ addition, since once transition is over there would be no need for it.

On a side note, while testing the transition I found out a couple of weird things: a bare install of 3.5.6-1 fails because /etc/init.d/squid3 does not exist (and it should not) and the following update to 3.5.7-1 failed because /etc/init.d/squid did not find $cache_dir and tried to cd to $HOME.

Will look into it in a short while.
