It is?  I thought someone told me svn-buildpackage was hacked to use
its own replacement code.  Anyway, the (possibly permanent) resolution
is the advent of dann frazier's tool 'svn-load', written and packaged
separately, which unfortunately did not clear the NEW queue in time to
be added to Debian etch.

I could ping upstream yet again about the svn_load_dirs licensing
situation, but this hardly seems urgent, given that we have an
alternate solution in unstable, and given that this will not be
resolved in etch no matter what I do.
