Package: sympa
Version: 6.1.11~dfsg-5
Severity: important
I've noticed that since upgrading to wheezy, Sympa was broken, I found
log messages like this in /var/log/apache2/error.log:
Use of uninitialized value $_[0] in sprintf at
/usr/lib/perl/5.14/Sys/Syslog.pm line 368.
Use of uninitialized value $_[1] in sprintf at
/usr/lib/perl/5.14/Sys/Syslog.pm line 368.
and the whole content of the generated pages was being dumped to the
error.log too.
After finding some info about the error in a search, I installed
libapache2-mod-fcgid
Now, apache restarts are sometimes getting stuck and it is logging
messages like this:
[notice] Graceful restart requested, doing restart
[error] FastCGI process 19501 still did not exit, terminating forcefully
At this point, I kill /usr/lib/cgi-bin/sympa/wwsympa.fcgi and then
Apache starts working again
Related package versions (from wheezy):
libapache2-mod-fcgid 1:2.3.6-1.2
apache2 2.2.22-13
