I'll upload synfig and -studio soon, allowing buildds to catch up and
hoping the 64bit issues are resolved. Meanwhile:

Any chance we could implement the per-version subdirectory for the
plugins? Like /usr/lib/synfig/N/modules (N is the soversion of
libsynfig) as suggested in
http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2006/03/msg00356.html ? It
shouldn't be too hard (assuming the soversion can be found easily at
build- or runtime), and would give us the possible future benefit of not
having to worry about multiple versions of the plugins.

I'll have a look at it later unless someone beats me to it.
