Up to now my policy is as follows:
If there is already a font package in debian *AND* it provides superior
support to teTeX/TeX live than the one included in the texlive-
packages, I will blacklist the respective fonts in texlive and depend on
the font package.
For now I have done this on the cm-super package.
As soon as lmodern is ready, I will do the same for lmodern.
What other font packages do you have in mind? For all those which are
working with TeX live packages, I could remove the conflicts part, after
some testing.
