Bad. What happens if you make dvips? Can you send me:
. a problematic dvi file (as short as possible)
. the output of dvips (dvips foo.dvi > dvips.log 2>&1)
. the ps file
. a screenshot of what happened

I have no idea what this could be. Maybe someone at the debian-tetex
list has an idea. I will ask after you sent me the stuff and I couldn't
find anything.
