[Pkg-tpctl-devel] Removing thinkpad/tpctl

I am considering asking for the removal of the thinkpad and tpctl
packages.

Personally, I am no longer willing to maintain packages in Debian if I
have to do it through unreliable sponsors.  And it seems I have to do
it through unreliable sponsors since I am not a DD and the only people
who have volunteered to help maintain thinkpad/tpctl have proven to be
unreliable.

An additional problem with thinkpad/tpctl is that they are becoming
more and more obsolete.  The thinkpad drivers use an obsolete kernel
interface and need rewriting, but no one has volunteered to do the
rewrite.

I was planning on maintaining thinkpad/tpctl until etch released, but
now I am inclined to ask for their removal.

Please let me know now if you disagree.
