Oops! Sorry about that.  The java hadn't kicked in yet...

But it config.amd64 it's not set at all.  Instead CONFIG_64BIT=y is set.

I've got the networking setup and tried to build an image with rootstrap.  It
downloaded the packages but then I got:

    I: Extracting tzdata...
    I: Extracting util-linux...
    I: Extracting zlib1g...
    /usr/lib/rootstrap/modules/debian: line 37:   709 Segmentation fault      debootstrap $opts $dist $TARGET $mirror $script
    sh-3.1# 

A retry gives the same result.  But at least we've got something going! :-)

I'll move to 2.6.17 on Saturday and try again.
