[Pkg-uml-pkgs] tty-problem in uml

Hi,

i'm not shure if this is a bug or if i'm to stupid to install
uml using kernel 2.6.26. Maybe you could give me some tips of
what i'm doing wrong.

I installed lenny (downloaded a netinstall cd yesterday) and
then uml. I can boot the uml and log in using ssh but i get
lots of error lines:

getmaster - no usable host pty devices
Failed to open console 1, err = -2
getmaster - no usable host pty devices
Failed to open console 2, err = -2
getmaster - no usable host pty devices
Failed to open console 3, err = -2
getmaster - no usable host pty devices
Failed to open console 4, err = -2
getmaster - no usable host pty devices
Failed to open console 5, err = -2
getmaster - no usable host pty devices
Failed to open console 6, err = -2
(from the getty processes in the standard inittab)

I also tried an upgrade of an etch installation: i upgraded
first the uml guest and then the host. I can boot uml but
get the same error messages. But if i boot the host with
the old 2.6.18 kernel everything works fine and i get the
following messages from the guest (in comparison to the lines
above):
Virtual console 3 assigned device '/dev/ptyp0'
Virtual console 2 assigned device '/dev/ptyp1'
Virtual console 1 assigned device '/dev/ptyp2'
Virtual console 4 assigned device '/dev/ptyp3'
Virtual console 5 assigned device '/dev/ptyp4'
Virtual console 6 assigned device '/dev/ptyp5'

What i'm doing wrong?

Please excuse if this is the wrong way of finding a solution.
But i already looked in google, some forums (also posted this
question), posted my question in some mailing-lists and tried
to find someone on icq that could help me. But no one could
help me...

Regards

Matthias

PS: udev is complaining that in the static /dev folder there's
already an .udev entry. But i can fix this removing the .udev
folder.
