You can override these rejections yourself just like other lintian
warnings.  dak will not reject the package if you do so.

For the rpath issue you could of course also try the patch you mentioned
instead.

Please also add embedded code copies (libpcap) to the list at
http://wiki.debian.org/EmbeddedCodeCopies.
