Package: vim
Version: 6.1.048-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I like to keep my ~/.viminfo file as a symlink, but vim does not
respect this choice.

Vim reads the data from the ~/.viminfo symlink without any
problem, but when vim exits, I find that the ~/.viminfo symlink
has been removed, and now ~/.viminfo is a regular file.

Thanks,
