I had a look at quilt and I must say it's really impressive. I would
love to have it a the vim's patch management system.

... Thus ... I created the usual "zack's branch" on svn in which all
debian specific patches are handled via quilt. It is available on svn
as:

  branches/quilt/

If there are no objections I will be happy to merge it with trunk/

Please note that I left upstream patch management outside quilt.
Basically because upstream patches are not applied relatively to our
main dir (the one containing debian/) but to the inner vim/ dir. I found
no way in quilt to specify that some patches are relative to another
directory. Is it possible Matthijs? If not I prefer to leave them as
they are since that enable plug-and-play use of upstream patches (i.e.
no need to patch the patches).

Cheers.
