I believe there's no commenting character in bibtex. Actually,
everything that is ignored by bibtex can be considered a comment.
This implies that anything outside of a valid entry can be
used as a comment. Lines starting with "@Comment" are also considered
comments. Furthermore, any made-up field inside an entry are
also ignored and can hence be used as comment fields:

@article{article1,
	title =3D {Article 1},
	mycomment =3D "Bla bla bla"
}
