Hi Bram,
a debian user found a completion bug on files starting with '+'. While
doing ":e *foo" vim, assuming there exists a "+foo" file, completes on
tab press to ":e +foo", pressing enter will give an error E492 (Not an
editor command).

Having a file `+foo' in the current working directory, :e *foo<Tab>
completes ``+foo'' instead of ``\+foo'' (the `+' properly escaped).
Vim then will say:
E492: Not an editor command: foo
