Package: vim
Version: 6.0.061-1

After invoking vim with syntax shading on, my strings are a slightly differ=
ent
colour from my background thanks to these settings in my ~/.gvimrc file

  highlight Normal guibg=3Dgrey90
  highlight Cursor guibg=3DGreen guifg=3DNONE
  highlight NonText guibg=3Dgrey80
  highlight Constant gui=3DNONE guibg=3Dgrey95
  highlight Special gui=3DNONE guibg=3Dgrey95

    However, if I then type=20

    :syn on

I lose the differing shade of strings.

    Mike

Closing the bug: vim works as documented and original submitter is no
longer reachable.
