Package: vim
Version: 6.1.048-1
Severity: minor

This bug is only valid if you like to have large windows and you set winheight
to an unrealistically large value. I use winheight=999 in my .vimrc so that
each new split maximizes itself in the visible area.

A bit of info on -o ...

  vim --help | grep -e -o
-o[N] Open N windows (default: one for each file)
-O[N] Like -o but split vertically

The -o option is supposed to horizontally split vim into multiple windows.
If the program is ran as such:

	vim -o2 file1 file2 file3

One would expect that only two splits would result. And this is the case.
However if one runs:

	vim -o3 file1 file2 file3

or

	vim -o file1 file2 file3

Vim chooses to ignore the fact that it has to open more then two windows if I
have this in my .vimrc:

	:set winheight=999
