Oops. I had dpatch support already added but somehow these changes
remained ouside debian/. Well, it's fixed now. Thanks for explaining the
details.

I've just uploaded the new hopefully-everything-corrected-and-included
version. ;-)

Thanks to Norbert I should be able to commit this version to svn trunk
tomorrow.

Just a side note: Do you or debian in genral prefer not being Cc'ed on
mailing list posts? I know for example that on other lists, like lkml,
this is the preferred method though.
