Almost done :-) Let me go for a last remark.

I want the ML pkg-vim-maintainers to be notified of at least bugs and
uploads.

AFAICT we can achieve this in two ways:
1) Have "Maintainer: Debian VIM ..." as it is for vim, and having you
   among the people in the "Uploaders: " field
2) Have "Maintainer: you", whoever you additionally want in "Uploaders"
   and subscribe the pkg-vim-maintainers to the PTS [*] (the defaults
   are fine)

Since you did most part of the work I propose (2). If you agree, could
you please subscribe this mailing list to the PTS then? (That would
involve sending the mail and reply to the ack that will be required
on-list).
