Bug#378760: vim-runtime: No comment continuation in perl mode please

Package: vim-runtime
Version: 1:7.0-035+1
Severity: wishlist

When I edit perl files or switch to perl mode, vim has the habbit of
continuing comments, i.e. if I have a line like
# This is a comment
and press enter
vim automatically enters "# ", i.e. the new line looks like
#

Since perl is usually pretty concise, comments seldom span more than
one line (also in code I've seen from other people). Hence it makes
more sense to default to an ordinary line after pressing Enter.

(And yes, I am pretty annyoed by this behaviour, because I have to
press backspace twice followed by a tab or two quite often).

Of course I know I can override the system file by my own (and I
probably will have a look soon), but then I loose automatic
improvements of the system version :-((

Thanks for considering
