Could you elaborate on what you mean with "I can no longer enter ..."?
Are you using an X input method, a vim digraph, something else?
Are you using console vim (in that case, is it under X?) or gvim?

Moreover, are you using the vim-latexsuite package or the built-in tex
support of vim?
