Bug#397837: vim-runtime: helpztags modifies a shipped file

Package: vim-runtime
Version: 1:7.0-158+1

Hello,

the helpztags call in (at least) vim-runtime and vim-latexsuite postinst
modifies (overwrites) at least /usr/share/vim/addons/doc/tags which is
also shipped within the vim-runtime package. I'm not sure if there are
other tags files to which applies the same.
This modification leads to md5sum (debsums(1)) differences between the
file shipped in the package and the file in the filesystem and this, in
turn, leads to confusion at least :) Afaics the Debian policy does not
explicitely forbid the modification of files shipped within a package,
but IMHO it's not a good approach to do so.

Since the file is autogenerated anyways, is it really needed to ship it
within the package as well? Wouldn't it be enough to just autogenerate
it and remove it on <prerm> `remove'? I'm not absolutely sure if this is
the correct position in the maintainer scripts, but it would at least be
soon enough to prevent the package manager from stumbling over non-empty
directories on package removal.

Thanks for your work & regards
   Mario
