Bug#424866: vimdiff makes comments invisible (with syntax highlighting enabled)

Package: vim
Version: 1:7.0-122+1etch2
Severity: normal

Comments in some differences become invisible (background, and
foreground colour are the same) when using vimdiff to display files
which have differences between the comments (i.e. if a commented line
forms part of a difference between the two files, the text is hidden).

The problem was noted when comparing postfix config files, but should be
present elsewhere.

I tried to look for an upstream changelog but couldn't seem to find one.
I don't have an unstable tree to check this on.

There is some evidence that this has already been fixed elsewhere:

e.g. search for "invisible" in
