Bug#512698: vim-gtk: gvim gtkfilechooser unable to select dot files

Using the gtk file chooser it seems to be impossible to select a dot file
or directory. The usual keyboard shortcuts, CTRL H and CTRL L, which
work in other apps don't work in gvim. I have noted #456897 but I don't
recall if this behaviour existed previously as I was mostly using console
vim.

Also gvim ignores the ShowHidden=true setting in gtkfilechooser.ini
