This is working fine for me from a fresh Jessie (stable) chroot.  What
do you get for output from the following commands?

$ which vim
$ ldd /usr/bin/vim.nox
$ cat /etc/ld.so.conf /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*

Also, is there any change in behavior if you run “vim -u NONE -N”,
“vim -u NORC -N”, or “vim --noplugin”?
