debian/copyright syntax (was Re: Joining pkg-vim-maintainers)

Hi James,

I want to play around with the debian/copyright syntax file to make it
aware multi-line vs single-line fields as you said in the bug report.
You probably have to look over it before I push it into the repo.

What is a good workflow for that? Fork the repo in salsa to my private
namespace and open a pull request? Paste the file into the bug report?
Send the file to this mailing list?
