Package: vim
Version: 2:8.0.0197-4+deb9u1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I use the 'ale' lint engine, and the most recent version of vim in
Debian (8.0.1453) is affected by this issue:

https://github.com/w0rp/ale/issues/1334

According to the issue log, more recent versions of vim fix the bug.
Older versions have picked up an annoying crash on exit, making them not
a viable workaround. I'd be much obliged if you could make 8.0.1478 or
newer available.

Thank you very much for maintaining vim in Debian!
Andreas
