[Pkg-virtualbox-devel] Bug#563246: Virtual Machines no longer start after apt-get upgrade

Steve M. Robbins smr at debian.org

Package: virtualbox-ose-dkms
Version: 3.1.2-dfsg-1
Severity: normal

Version 3.1.2-dfsg-1 fails with kernel 2.6.32-trunk-amd64.
I booted 2.6.31-1-amd64 and the module loaded fine.

Here's me trying to load the module:

  root at riemann{~}modprobe vboxdrv
FATAL: Error inserting vboxdrv (/lib/modules/2.6.32-trunk-amd64/updates/dkms/vboxdrv.ko): Invalid module format

The message in "dmesg" is:

vboxdrv: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout

If you need any other info, please ask.

Thanks,
-Steve
