Hi,

saving the machine state on closing a virtual machine (Machine →
Close... → Save the machine state) can fail when there is not much free
disk space remaining.  In this case, the GUI becomes useless: every menu
option is disabled.  There is no way to shut down the virtual machine
even after freeing disk space.
