I took off Debian's packages and replaced with Oracle's. Modules build fine
here, claim to start up and dmesg shows them starting. However, will receive
the same error starting a virtual machine.
Virtualbox, as opposed to the majority of packages, will not run correctly in
crossed architectures, it seems. The 32 bit version that will install
correctly might only ruin with a 32-bit kernel. Being a virtual machine, maybe
this is how it should be. I will retry with the 32-bit kernel booted and see
if it works.
(One can force-architecture the 64-bit version but this has ELF problems in
libraries so will not work.)
The orginal bug reported, lack of a unique linux-headers common that might be
needed for differing archs, is still a question.
