Hello Maintainers

I'm a student of Linux. The institute provided me with Debian Kernel 2.6.32,
which I upgraded and patched to 2.6.33.1.
I'm using VirtualBox on Windows 7.
I keep .OVAs from the different stages as backup.
I have also installed the Complete Debian Desktop System, which I downloaded
from debian.org.

In all three versions I installed VirtualBoxGuestAdditions (correction: the
Complete Desktop System was gracefully provided with it).

However, neither on 2.6.32, nor 2.6.33.1 X starts. I have installed in both
systems virtualbox-guest-additions using apt-get install. Alternatively, I
installed the guest additions from the .iso image file which I obtained from
VirtualBox.org. Prior to any new install of the guest additions I properly
uninstalled the prior version and concluded each uninstall by restarting the
system.
That way, I tried versions 4.0.2 (that's the version of my VirtualBox
system) and 3.2.10.

In either case I get the error (in console 1) "Failed to load module
"vboxvideo" (module does not exist, 0) SELinux> Disabled on system, not
enabling in X server", when I start X Server. The virtual console remains
black.

I have given up trying any more, but thought I let you guys know for what
it's worth.

Of course, I'd be glad to receive any hints or advice, if you consider the
problem being on my installations.

Best regards

Lorenz Schindlbeck
