yes, if you are only looking at the official lucid backports [1], then the
version you reference is correct, but if you look at felix's ppa [2], then
you'll find a more recent version (4.1.8-dfsg-1~lucid1~ppa1 from 2012-01-25).

and i appreciate the backportability of the package as i'm running lucid on
my desktops with virtualbox 4.1.12-dfsg-2 (having simply built the debian
package myself for lucid from the debian package, no package changes
required except for updating the changelog).

i understand that all good things must come to an end (and i plan to migrate
to precise after 12.04.1 is released which should allow time for me to
developed an internal desktop migration plan), but in the meantime i
appreciate the ease of backporting (and it does not go unused).

if the package does migrate to dh_python2 i might even try to forward port
the current python-central dependency or backport the dh_python2 package,
whichever is easier.
