yes,

please try to rename the file (under .config/VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml IIRC)

and restart virtualbox again

and also please report the output of
# ls -l /dev/vbox*

if it doesn't work, please post the output of
dpkg-reconfigure virtualbox-dkms.
