[Pkg-virtualbox-devel] BTS triaging work?

Hi Virtualbox Team,

I came across the Virtualbox BTS earlier today and noticed some bugs
that I have either come across myself or found upstream tickets with
similar details. Some of these like
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=688762 appear to have
been fixed upstream (in this case, by
https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/12746), but the bug in Debian was
never linked up. The details there seem to match up my own testing done
in a VM.

Also, I see many 5+ years old bugs that either involve programs from
very old Debian releases (Linux 2.6.x[1][2], python2.5[3]) or third
party app combinations[4] that are no longer supported/developed. I
wonder if these should be closed entirely since they aren't incredibly
relevant anymore.

With all this said, I want to start some larger-scale BTS work, triaging
and closing bugs that are no longer applicable. Since I am not a member
of this team, I figured that I should post my intentions here and do
coordination with everyone here first. :)

Best,
James
