Package: vde2
Version: 2.2.2-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

While testing packages with Debian, I discovered the following problem with
your package, which can also be reproduced by installing it in a clean lenny
chroot (cleaned up using "debfoster -o MaxPriority=required -o UseRecommends=no
-f -n apt debfoster").

I modified the postinst script to do set -x.

Setting up vde2 (2.2.2-1) ...
+ '[' configure = configure ']'
+ getent passwd vde2-net
+ '[' -d /var/run/vde2 ']'
+ dpkg-statoverride --list /var/run/vde2
+ chown vde2-net:vde2-net /var/run/vde2
+ chmod 2770 /var/run/vde2
+ '[' '!' -e /dev/.devfsd ']'
+ '[' '!' -e /dev/net/tun ']'
+ '[' -x /sbin/MAKEDEV ']'
dpkg: error processing vde2 (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
