Could you perhaps set the WINEDEBUG environment variable to something
like "+module,+file,+ntdll,+ntoskrnl,+mountmgr" and attach the output?

(You can do that by typing a command like
WINEDEBUG="+module,+file,+ntdll,+ntoskrnl,+mountmgr" winecfg 2>log.txt
and then attach "log.txt" to your reply.)

By the way, Wine 1.1.23 is currently waiting in NEW (because I've
changed the package names from wine to wine-unstable). If you'd like to
try it before it gets through NEW, I've compiled it for lenny at
http://people.debian.org/~ovek/wine/

I suppose it's even possible that it'll work better for you just because
it's built on lenny instead of on sid. However, if it does, we probably
still want to figure out what's wrong with the sid/experimental build...
