These files should be provided by ia32-libs, which your initial
reports mentions you do have installed, and which wasn't touched by
the upgrade which broke things (so it shouldn't be broken, unless a
bug in another package broke it). /usr/lib32/libSM.so.6 should be a
symlink to /usr/lib32/libSM.so.6.0.0; likewise for the other two
libraries... Could you check ia32-libs with debsums (which you may
have to install)? Simply run
     debsums ia32-libs
and check that every line says "OK".
