It now fails with:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 libsane-dev : Depends: libjpeg-dev
               Depends: libtiff4-dev but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages

I'm not sure exactly why, since it itself is installable.  It's
probably some conflict somewhere.
