Firstly, this change makes it possible to compile wine with support
for applications that rely on the implicit stack operations that are
not possible when stack smash protection (SSP) is on. However, as you
may have already seen in the patch, wine is compiled by default with
SSP enabled.
Secondly, the availability of this option will allow the user to
compile wine with SSP turned off, if it needs this functionality. If
this patch is accepted, you should also specify in Debian.README that
package has this functionality, but SSP is enabled by default due to
security reasons and isn't needed by most users.
